Assembled scenographic device
Box for better view is a project based on a David Hockney painting. The aim was to transform a painting into a three-dimensional scenography. «Self-portrait with blue guitar» shows the painter at work. He is in his studio, surrounded by many intriguing objects.
Like a cabinet of curiosities, a physical inventory has been created where each object takes on its own identity. An extruded polystyrene base supports them. This can be disassembled and stored in three boxes, which can easily be transported for various exhibitions.
